After winning the award for the Best Video Startup in 2010 at The Europas on Friday evening, Brainient has completed a fantastic weekend with the award for the Best Company of the Year at SVC2C.

The third edition of the Silicon Valley Comes to Cambridge programme was hosted at the Cambridge University and Brainient participated in the Company Competition held on Saturday. Reid Hoffman was one of the Silicon Valley judges who were impressed by Brainient’s pitch and  voted for us.
We were not the only winners so congratulations are in order for David Langer and Andy Young also. GroupSpaces won UK Best Company together with Brainient.

We’re very happy for winning two amazing prizes in two days and we have plenty of reasons to celebrate but we’ll do it in the Brainient style: working even harder.

The last months of the year always seem to be pretty good for us here at Brainient. We got started in December 2008, won Seedcamp in September 2009 and today, on a warm November evening, we just won the award for the Best Video Startup in 2010 at The Europas, “the Oscars of the European tech scene” as some call it, organized every year by the nice folks at TechCrunch.

All the credits should really go to our fantastic team here at Brainient, splitting time and Skyping non-stop back and forth from Bucharest to London and back.

Big thumbs up for Mike Butcher and Alena Dundas, who put together a wonderful event, in a fantastic venue (Paramount, on top of Centre Point, with a 360degrees view of London) and definitely set the bar up high for the next tech events happening in London in the near future.

Congrats to all my friends running awesome startups who won awards today, including Reshma Sohoni (Seedcamp), Alex & Eric (Soundcloud), Michael Acton Smith (Moshi Monsters) and everyone else!

Guys and girls, lets get back to work now. Still got a long way to go.
